Erik Rothenstein & ansambel SO36

This project is a part of my path, where Iam looking for a new sound and conceptions in music. It is a cooperation of musicans and composers with different music background and exprience. It tries to discover the history and reflect it to our new ideas and approche. (Erik Rothenstein)

Ansambel contains from musicians with different musical bacground. The sound of classical string quartet and piano is mixed with baritone saxophone and guitar. Tha band also uses electronic sounds and grooves. Imrovisation is also a important part of the musical proces. Putting together different musicians and approaches to music is the main idea of the project. Ansamble SO36 also cooperates with contemporary composers based in classical music and jazz. The band first concert was in october 2018 with program Gershwin Reloaded.

The band is working on a new program 30 YEARS – dedicated to 30. anniversary of Velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia.
